Michael here from the front-page editorial team. Lexus just sent us the LC500 for review and I was wondering if you had any questions about the experience that I could answer here or in my forthcoming review?
Looking forward to my 2021 Inspiration Series that should be here in late October!!!
I've seen every review thus far and I am super stoked!!!!
Hope I don't regret buying this over a Ferrari California T, which was what I have been looking for since April!
I haven't driven a California, but, while I'd wager that the Ferrari outperforms the LC500 in aggressive driving, the LC500 is quite simply one of the most beautiful cars I've ever seen and it revs out in a way that feels exotic. Match that with Lexus-reliability and it seems like you're in for a great ownership experience. Cheers!

I have test-driven quite a few Calis and a few LC 500 coupes.
If you can do a deep dive on interior noise, how quiet it is with the top up on normal and highway driving and if it qualifies as Lexus quiet.
Will do. Thank you for the suggestion. I've mostly been doing drop-top driving, but will explore this more. My first impression is that it's definitely not Lexus-quiet, though, because this V8 HOWLS and a canvas roof can only do so much. But I've also been leaving the car in Sport+ mode to enjoy said howl. Cheers.
ride quality in different modes?
is it still true if you do remote start that the car engine goes off when you open the door?
how is apple carplay and android auto integration?
Screen Resolution: Honestly, the screen looks pretty good, particularly when displaying maps, but it's definitely not Tesla or iPad good in terms of pixel density. I haven't seen an LC coupe in a while, so I'm not sure if it has changed.
User Interface: It's livable and you do get used to it, but very clunky. Probably the worst on the market. Even $200 aftermarket radios have touchscreen these days, and it's far too easy to over-navigate when trying to make adjustments. But, I suspect like all things, if it's your daily experience, you'll likely master it and forget about it despite the dated dealing. That said, everything from Apple Car Play worked well... I've just never used CarPlay on a non-touchscreen before.
Remote Start: As the Lexus remote start features requires a subscription and a phone app, we were unable to test this feature on our loaner. Sorry
Ride Quality: I personally feel that Lexus engineers could work harder to differentiate the driver's modes as you step up and down the ladder. For my time, I mostly toggled between Comfort and Sport+ to feel a noticeable change. Comfort was great on cracked roads with potholes and smoothed out highway driving. Sport+ stiffens things up for the corners and lets you feel every road blemish.
Interior Noise: I wouldn't call the LC 500 Convertible Lexus quiet, but on the highway, putting along with the top up, it's probably among the quietest convertibles ever made. Still more road noise, but very livable for making calls and simply relaxing. You can even make calls with the top down and windows up, despite there being plenty of wind. In my review, I posted a video that I recorded while driving with the top down and windows down. That's as loud as things get. It's pretty windy, but very livable, and you get to hear the engine!!!
