I recently saw a Structural Blue LC at my local Houston Lexus dealership on a lease turn in. Granted, the color looks amazing in photos, but it is absolutely MESMERIZING when seen in person. And that interior...........
That's why one of the first things I did when I got my new NSX was clearly put PPF on the car. I did not want the paint to be damaged by rock chips at all.
I've had other sports cars with lots of rock chips and it was good peace of mind to PPF the entire car.
If I were to get a brand new LC I would PPF the entire car. If I get a used one, depending on condition, I may PPF it also.
Ours is going in for full PPF this week. The 720 had full coverage. So easy to clean, and peace of mind.

Which dealer was that? Do you recall the miles and the price?
So I just bought one of these that was in Des Moines. It was a CPO and I paid $76 grand for it with 13000 miles. It is number 33 out of 100 I was told.
congratulations!!!
I was more worried about the blue and orange interior but after looking at it in person it is a great colot combo. I am in the Florida panhandle ...
Gator colors.
Second question. Who can afford to own one. I am in the 50 to 60 thou/year range. I'm 76, wife died in Janurary and she told me to go get an LC and enjoy the rest of my life. Great wife, great car. What can I say! By the way, she was wheelchair bound for years and loved the RC.
i'm very sorry to hear about losing your wife, but indeed that was great of her to tell you to enjoy life. i'm not in the panhandle, but in central fl (ocala) so if you're ever down this way, send me a message before you get here!
with 2020's insanity i decided life was too short and unpredictable too and that's why i got an LC at the end of the year. stupid purchase? maybe, but i don't care. i love driving it.

congrats on having an LC for 3 years, but sorry to hear about paint damage. does you car have protection film on the front at least? i've never done that on any car before but i decided to on this one, for these very reasons. i think i'm more impressed with the ceramic coating that i also had done because it makes the car MUCH easier to clean.
I saw the 2018 inspiration LC vs the USB2.0 GS-F sport at the dealer when the LC first came out.
I might be biased but I like the USB2.0 better. It’s a deeper(darker) blue but still very blue than the slightly lighter blue on the SB.
I only wish Lexus had either made structural blue more available as a color option or have USB on the LC as a color option. The Nightfall Blue Mica is too dark for my blue taste.
saw a blue vert on the highway the other day and i almost wrecked spinning my head around to look at it!
looked AWESOME particularly because the convertible roof was also blue.
I actually know an owner of a Structural Blue Inspiration Series LC500 here in FL where I live. Funny enough, he's also the owner of one of the most reputable body shops in the city, where the majority of the high end dealerships (including Lexus) send their customer repairs to. He said that they won't provide him with the color code (he hasn't repaired any structural blue LC's - but he was asking for himself) and they're secretive about the structural blue. As you all know, it is a painstakingly long process to produce that color....
I wonder if I bought the guy you know
18 Inspiration Series Lexus. Just got it from Sarasota Lexus but was traded at the BMW. I was searching how to find out what number out of 100 my car was and came across this thread. Haven't found the answer though.

Wow, gorgeous - love the SB! Not sure what number he had - but tbh I haven't seen it around. Last time I saw him was about 10 months ago - and we both were driving side by side catching up....

1 0f 100.....is the only answer you will find on the 'OG LC'. Lexus didn't see the necessity to maintain the actual series numbers on the initial IS offering. Since you are the 5th person to inquire, we can assign you number '6 of 100'.

Before they could ship, it needed some touch up work under the front where it had curb scrapes. They were waiting for paint from Japan and what was left over they had to send back. It was the Lexus dealer that was doing the work. They also put on a clear bra. I have had a paint expert look at the car and he can see no signs of a touch up.
My original color choice was Atomic Silver which is what I have on my RX 350 and I love it. I was talked into the blue by friends and I'm glad they did. I was more worried about the blue and orange interior but after looking at it in person it is a great colot combo. I am in the Florida panhandle so got a light tint done today and it looks great. didn't want to hide the interior!

Interesting. I just purchased this car a week ago. Will be delivered this week. CARFAX shows my car was a CPO from DesMoines and registered in Florida panhandle in 2021. Then resold about 2 years ago and stayed in the same area until I just purchased it from a dealer that just listed it on consignment. Too bad this owner posted only only 1 time and there is no messaging available?
