Bought my 2018 LC new in February of 2018 and haven't looked back. Love the car and don't pay attention to sales figures. Buying cars is in great part, an emotional undertaking. You try to get a decent deal when you make the purchase, but in the end it's still going to be a bad investment simply due to realities of auto depreciation. Just enjoy it.
I like to bargain and if I can save a few $, I will certainly go for it. Saving $10k on a purchase is significant for me.
Its all personal preference, right?
I know and respect folks who don't like negotiating...
For me it is part of my upbringing.
Unfortunately, whatever I save from the car purchase, I end up spending in some accessory for it.
I am not interested in sales figures either.
My decision to own an LC was not based on sales figures or depreciation.
My decision was based on other factors involving the type of car, the brand, power, handling and Lexus reliability.
A big factor was my wife's bad back and that she liked the bolstering of the LC seats.

I bought the LC first and foremost because I thought it was a cool looking car! The other factors like the exhaust note and rock solid reliability (I drive mine a lot) were icing on the cake.
