I am going to extrapolate ! (I am an engineer and in my trade, this means going out on a limb !)
I have owned several Lexus automobiles during the last 20 years.
Some of them I just plain got tired of them before they gave my any problems.
My IS 350 lasted me 150k miles without any issues.
My RX300, gave me 150k miles... Now I have a 2016 RX350 with 30k miles with no issues...
Lexus brand statistics show the brand at the top of the reliability charts along the Porsches...
The extrapolation comes from the inference that one vehicle will exhibit the same reliability characteristics as the rest of the brand.
To your question, my answer is, more than likely the LC500 will be a highly reliable high performance machine when treated and maintained appropriately.
Puertex
Thanks Puertex. It's nice to meet another engineer! I'm also an engineer but I'm on the Civil side.
I did a full color change wrap to satin, chrome delete, black PPF on the gloss black trim and tint. I also did some wrapping on the tail lights, the lower inner fascia insert and part of the rear valance. The exhaust tips and the wheels are powder coated.
I absolutely love this car. I had a modified 2016 Ford Mustang GT that I sold before this. The only thing I miss about that car is the manual transmission, but I have a Toyota Tacoma with a manual if I get the urge to drive a stick. The Lexus is packed away for the winter and I’ll be thrilled when I can get it back in the road. Next mod will probably by the Armytrix active exhaust, unless I decide to add a 2020 Hyundai Veloster N to the collection. Those things are an absolute performance bargain and a HOOT to drive!

Just today I washed mine and did a Ceramic Reload.
I took it out for a spin and took my wife with me for the short ride.
I was telling her how much I like the car and how different it is from previous sports cars I have owned.
To me its the combination of features that make it a special car.
I am in Texas. Today it got up to lower 70s . I had to take it out and drive it.
Now its in the garage with a cover on it.
I mostly drive mine when I go out of town to spend time in the country.
Many thanks for the feedback. I'm the proud owner of a 2018 SMOKY GRANITE MICA LC500 with 7k miles on itI. I sacrificed the color I wanted over the performance package. With this car your splitting hairs on packages vs. other OEM models. IMO it's a well equipped whip and you can't go wrong either way.
That's Great , Welcome to the club !
Which color was your first choice ?
for me I didn't really care they all worked for me. I ended up with silver. I actually like the Smokey Granite Mica with the metal flecks.
It's truly insane how much attention this car gets in public and it was released 1/2 way thru 2017, my other car was a sleeper, nobody noticed.
Has anyone done chrome delete or accent wraps in this groups? The lines and color combinations on this car is amazing stock. I would be interested in seeing what others have done.
