Default Quantum Solenoid - Feedback?

I came across this site that offers a product that claims to increase horsepower and torque.

https://www.qspwr.com/

I'm not sure exactly what it is - seems to me like an ECU tune, but I can't say. They have this for our LC's:

https://www.qspwr.com/collections/le...us-lc-500-2018

I'm just curious to know if any of you would happen to know what it is, and if you have any experience or feedback on it.

Personally, I wouldn't get close to such products who's claims cannot be backed-up by solid test results from an independant source.

I love wasting money on my LC, so I ordered the Quantum Solenoid last night. I will try to get on the Dyno this week. I need to see what the new blitz intake system did for my car anyway. So I will run it with the new intake, then swap out the solenoid and run it again later in the week. I will keep you posted.

Installed today. There is a noticeable difference in feel. It definitely pulls harder. So the butt dyno is showing some gains! I will get it on the Dyno next Friday. In the mean time, see my thread about my dyno results from today with my new intake. I’m hoping to make further gains from the new solenoid, and based on what I’m feelings right now it’s definitely going to pick up some gains.

Sorry for the late response. I do have an update. The results are definitely contradictory. So, in terms of power and torque on the dyno, it actually lost. I had it on the same dyno, similar weather conditions, but about 7 days apart. On the dyno it lost nearly 5 HP and almost 20 torque. The HP and torque curves are the same from OEM solenoid to QS, but they curve is just lower.

However, using my Dragy GPS system, the car had the best 0-60mph times and the best 60-100mph times with the QS. The times were consistently better. 0-60 was about 0.1 seconds better where the 60-100 was near 0.15 seconds.

Subjectively, the car does pull harder. The dragy times support this. However, the dyno shows a loss. I am not sure what the deal is. I know that the dyno isn't everything, but based on the feel of the car I would have expected to pick up power and torque.

Overall, I am satisfied with the product. It made a noticeable difference while driving the car.

I believe the Quantum Solenoid would just be a faster valve that allows the engine to more accurately change variable valve settings. I don't see any reason why it would have an effect on losing HP, so that was probably something else. You will see more response with track/street driving when the engine needs to continuously change the variable valve settings, where as on a dyno the engine might stay in a the high-load profile.

Lexus engineers would be idiots if there exist such an easy way to boost performance

At the same time why change something that's not broken. Not every Lexus is a modder, and are seeking for more power.

Applying the same logic Lexus should never have a recall but we know how that's gone. Additionally engineers weigh countless factors cost, emissions, etc. Sorry but I feel like it's this attitude that kills any chance of aftermarket for Lexus vehicles.
