I’m looking to get a Z06 C8 and if I can swing keeping both the LC and The Vette I will. I only have 550 miles on my LC .
Definitely considering getting a Z06 when the car becomes available in two or three years. My issue is garage space. My wife is not going to like me sticking her car outside.
Corvette is a styling nightmare. Take off the black plastic and all the creases and it's an NSX. Interior copy of Merc. and Ferrari but a bad copy. Buy a used NSX or Porsche. I have 12k miles on my LC with Sport Pkg. Just did my second 1200 mile trip and I love it! Most comfortable seats of any car I have owned. Sounds better than any car I have driven. Shortest turning circle. Best high speed cruise. Great in wet and no tramlining, etc., etc. On my last trip I had three different people pacing me at 80 with their cell phones out. People still tell me they have never seen one and it's beautiful. Might sell it for the convertible but otherwise will keep it for awhile. I have several other cars, Porsche, Jag., AMG

Anyway........the styling of the Corvette, or any car, is subjective at best. It may not be your cup of tea but that does not mean it isn't an impressive effort by GM....and most likely it's performance will put any of your cars to shame, especially for the money. To dismiss it in such fashion is ignorant.

While l agree with you regarding the merits of the new Corvette, I wouldn't call his opinion "ignorant". That's not fair and reinforces to the current negative climate of "my view is the only view that's right".

I know it is a little early to be absolutely sure, but how about we all agree to return to this thread in 10 years or 150K miles (of sometimes spirited driving) and see how things stack up against the C8 (or C9 for that matter)? Im betting the LC owners will still be fairly happy with their purchase. This thread has a lot of activity. Maybe it will still be open.
