High Mileage LC500 Base
There's an off lease granite/red base model going for 54k at my local Lexus dealer. The catch is that it has 36k miles on it and probably need new brakes and tires soon. The car changed owners at 1k miles on Sept/17 and was only recently returned to the dealership by the second owner. I live in the snow belt so the car must have been driven all year long. I also got a trade in value of 14k for my 15 TLX SH-AWD. I was looking for an LC500 w/ performance package and stumbled onto this. What do you think guys? Thanks in advance.
Wait... an LC 500 w/ 36k miles & only $54k???? My fully loaded camaro SS was $53k new . Wow.... I would much rather choose a used LC 500. I would try and find out if it was clear bra'd or ceramic coating (which usually every owner of a $100k car does) and if it was clear bra'd or ceramic coated, I would buy immediately. Bro you may have stumbled on a gold mine. Your getting a $100k car almost half off. Let us know if you walk away with this hell-of-a-deal.
And also you may have to have a third party inspect it thoroughly because I sense there must be something fishy about it.
and also since its the base model it is so because a low mileage base model is usually 66k. but all the same, try a get the history it.
it is a good buy.

^^^^From my experience shopping for an LC, all models seem to be identified as base.
And the Monroney ids all LCs as base before adding options and shipping.

So I got some more info on the car. It's got a clean carfax, the tire depth is 4/32 front and 7/32 rear, one of the tires is brand new, and apparently the guy who leased it for 20 months was an older gentlemen. Hopefully the dealership will let me take it to my local Lexus dealer to do a ppi.

Then here you stated that you are hoping that you can take it to the same local dealer for a ppi? I'm confused here. LOL
This is probably my first pre-owned purchase and I just want to make sure the car is straight. It wouldn't be in the selling dealer's interest to identify potential problems as it will affect the value of the car. There's also some google reviews of the dealership selling pre-owned cars that were problematic a couple of months later and the dealer refusing to rectify the problems.
