According to the display, I am averaging 30 mpg (I have the 500h). But the range display does not seem congruent with that -- for example, when I fill up, I usually get a range calculation of around 510 miles. With a 22 gallon tank and 30 MPG, shouldn't that range be around 600 miles (assuming the computer keeps about 2 gallons in reserve). I have tried resetting both and tracking the MPG on my own based on fill ups and still get around 30 -- so the range display calculation is perplexing.
Wondering if anyone else has noticed this. Thanks.
According to my dealer rep, the mileage and range changes over time from the original mileage setting (which should match the EPA combined mileage figure as seen on the window sticker). Mine range has increased by 50 to 60 miles over the last few months and about 3 mpg. Dealer can set the number higher for you.

Write down your mileage right after you fill up and write down your mileage when your light turns on. Then you will know how accurate your own measurements are vs. the computer.
