Very nice! I wonder if the interior lighting is improved on the 2019 models(?). I saw one at a local dealership and it appeared to be improved, but it was too bright in the showroom to really tell for sure.

I haven't heard this. But I would sure love for them to retrograde these upgrades. The transmission programming shouldn't be too difficult, since it's software related - CarPlay seems like it could be as well. I just don't think they would offer these to previous owners though. If anyone else gets any news updates for retrogrades, please share. Based on an article, it seems that Alexa and Carplay won't be offered to previous owners.

It specifically states:
When asked about vehicles built prior to October (2018), Lexus USA spokesperson Ed Hellwig said “Existing owners will not be able to update their systems with CarPlay functionality”.
