How much MPG can you stretch?
I just drove 1,200 miles from Albuquerque New Mexico to Los Angeles California thru El Paso Texas. All interstate driving ranging from 70 - 88 mph. First 300 miles or so was in normal and remaining was in ECO mode (I know, say it isn't so - haha), A/C was constantly on and I was babying her as if a break in. I consistently saw 26 - 29 mpg between fill ups. Granted most of those miles were pretty flat. Now that I'm in LA, city driving has dropped me to around 17 mpg.
I suspect I can reach that 33.6 figure on a downhill stretch drafting a Prius - grin
My 2 cents worth.

On a flat stretch of highway, was able to achieve 37.3mpg, but when I start the hills/mountains, it drops to 30.9. Basically, anything uneven, whether stop and go, hills, a heavy foot, etc., seems to drink, not lightly sip, gas.
Someone asked me this past weekend what kind of MPG it got. I said I had never looked. Then the person asked me what Lexus claims the fuel mileage is. I had no clue on that either. Still don't, LOL.
No flames please.
For some of us, it’s a balancing act between being able to thoroughly enjoy our ride, which a Prius, Nissan Sentra, or Chevy Volt could never satisfy for me, and being good stewards of the planet. I try to have a long view of this, and I know it’s just me on this.

This thread is really only about seeing how much MPG it ''can'' achieve even if on the majority of my drives I average in the low-to-mid 20s. I still find it amazing that it achieves so much more cruising MPG than my Aston Martin Vantage could even if it was rated at ''only'' 420 HP.
I would say you're enjoying the vehicle as intended. I did what I did to see if I could get the mileage close to what others have achieved, so I drove about 100 miles (Tucson to Phoenix) in Eco mode with the cruise engaged. But I set my cruise to 83 mph. Surprisingly, I still got 31mpg. Normally, I'm guessing you and drive similarly and I'm probably getting similar results to yours.
