Default Voice Commands

So I did a search in this forum for voice commands and none seemed to address this issue. Sorry in advance if I'm wrong. I get to play the newbie card for a little while....right?
Anyway, has anyone mastered the voice commands in this car? I would like to use this feature rather than looking down while driving, but I get frustrated by the errors. Any tips on doing it better?

I don't have one yet, but I seem to recall there's a way to "teach" the system to recognize the way you speak.

Check this:

This was helpful. Thanks! I guess at the end of the day, I can always fall back on Destination Assist. I intend to keep that when my free year is up. I'm accustomed to that. I used GM's very useful OnStar system when I owned a Caddy CTS.

My '18 BMW X3 is pretty good with voice commands. To set the destination in most cases, you just hit the button and say "Navigate to XXXX" and if it's in the extensive database, it'll accept it and start navigating there. If there are similar sounding destinations, they will pop up on the screen and you scroll to the precise one you want.

Haven't tried the latest and greatest Lexus system yet.

I tried to follow the video directions but the software on board of my LC500h looks like a poor version of that of the video. I am in Italy and the software is pretty poor either in italian language as well as in english.
I am disappointed by that.
