Augment wheels in Canada has LOTS of wheels to choose from.
Generally, what does their pricing look like? I’m assuming that there’s no sales tax, and the CAD is weaker than the USD, but I’d guess that shipping and import duties go the other way. How does that net out?
there were no CA txes and no import fees...U nedd to contact them,,this was a few years ago with my 17 Porsche CS.
Did they offer different prices for USD or CAD? I’m guessing not, as it looks like shipping is free, so they’d say that the cost of shipping to the U.S. makes it fair to lose on the exchange rate. Some credit cards have good FOREX, so I got a hockey bag shipped from Vancouver to the East Coast of the U.S. for 40% less than anyone selling it in the states, even a few miles away. That was fairly unique, as Canadian dealers has sales not available to U.S. dealers. I dealt with a smelly bag for a few extra weeks for a bit over $100. (I was in no rush, so it paid for some sharpening. No different than picking up a $100 bill on your doorstep. It seemed silly not to.)
Got these pieces from carbon addict. About 2 weeks wait from Japan. I think I’m going to get the CF cover for the Katanas and the rear trim and diffuser with the addition of the OEM CF spoiler. IMO, LC500 needs some carbon fiber. There’s barely any(except the CF roof option). If you look at GSF and RCF, they have a good amount of CF on the exterior.
I have the dark chrome trim so these pieces are not really needed. I only got it to see how their quality is before I commit to the larger pieces. But if you have the regular chrome trim, I think they do a great job at covering it. The fit and finish is good.
Regular dark chrome trim. CF cap from carbon addict. Dark chrome trim CF cover from carbon addict.
I want the front grill inlay but I shudder at $350 for one piece lol. Are the katanas still $800+ for the pair?
I got the rear lights cover and the bottom grill cover for $430(I think).
yeah….the katana covers are $862(!!!). At least shipping is free.
I don’t like my vinyl tape. lol. Not sure if the shop used something cheap(er) but the coloring when the sun hits it really gets me. This pic exaggerate the browning the bit but yeah, it’s not truly black.
