Details on the new structural blue color coming in 2018...

 

This is a really sharp color IMO - saw it on some early LC promo's, maybe in Europe? Was bummed it wasn't offered in the US yet.

So i have been told they are only releasing 10 LC 500h and 10 LC 500 Structural Blue in the UK, they apparently come with a 9K extra premium and only available in one package, Lexus are not offering any sort of smart repair package due to the near impossible colour match.

It’s a beautiful paint job and all but it might have been smarter if they just went with the already popular USB. Lighter shades of blue are all the rage right now (e.g. estoril blue/BMW or nogaro blue/Audi in Europe, vector blue/Cadillac and grabber blue/Ford in the US) and Lexus is missing out by not offering a regular light blue option for its halo car. The blue interior that comes with this edition is not easy to sell either.

 

Oh mi Lud, that is a beautiful colour. I wish I had a magic wand to turn Atomic Silver into this Structural Blue.

 

Of course my favorite color for this car will be rare..... Just another challenge with this model ....

 

 

Got to check this out in person at the LA Auto Show. It's stunning in person and I'm a big fan of the color combo inside & out. If I were in the position to get this car, I wouldn't change a thing. Really love and appreciate the 15 years of development it takes to create something so special. Here are a few photos I took while I was there:

Heads up for anyone interested in the SB edition, it's available in touring spec only. A bunch of features will be missing:

• Sport Seats - Alcantara upholstery with leather bolsters
• Carbon fibre roof
• DRS (Dynamic Rear Steering)
• Torsen Limited Slip Differential
• Carbon fibre scuff plates
• Retractable rear spoiler

DRS and the Torsen LSD make quite a difference in the way the car handles.
