LC 500 used car value has been quite good and is only going to improve moving forward.
What $50K depreciation are you referencing?

I was poking fun at KBB for valuing my 2026 inspiration couple with 1000 miles at 80k. I wouldn't sell the car for anything less than 250k. I don't think its worth 250k, its just that at that valuation the money becomes more appealing than the car.

Yeah, 150K would get my attention but then what? Who else today is making a comparable GT convertible in the 100K range (I paid 95K brand new, was given a 19K discount)?

I cleared all the values, entered VIN and clicked Analyze Pricing, which will ask you to enter mileage. Click button and it would ask for zip code.. then it worked.. looks like 1st time it is giving error.

For my 2024 coupe with 5,500 miles, it shows quick sale price equivalent to my purchase price (before tax). Even for a car with 25K miles, it shows 96K.
Lot of other data points such as $ depreciation per 10K miles, min to max price with 10th, 25th, median, 75th and 90th percentile values.

I agree with you. The only other suitable replacement I'd consider IF I ever sold my LC would be either an Aston Martin (~$350K) or used Bentley (~$150K). Both are extremely expensive to own/maintain (vs. the Lexus LC) and both depreciate like a rock. I think I'll just drive my LC until my 3-yr grandson is ready for it.

Indeed, Indeed! I'd advise being careful taking a handsome price, perhaps a profit even, without a replacement in mind you'd buy for that farewell price that fills the void..

So they replaced Koji with an lousy accountant. This is likely the deathblow for Lexus... and probably the end of why we love the brand. Koji was instrumental to the LC (chief engineer), and his departure coincides with the end of the LC, which seems apropos. He's also been with Lexus since the start and is one of the last of the old breed. This accountant guy is going to ruin the brand and relegate it to Acura/infinti like status in a few years.

If they sell ~130 a year I'll be amazed. They'll probably do 300-400 for the first year just to get them out there, but for a car that isn't as exotic looking as the NSX for ~$100K more, I just don't get it.

It seems like they're chasing people who didn't buy an LFA and are now kicking themselves. But those people have the ~$250K to buy the GR GT, but not the ~$700K to just buy an LFA.

Great comment with background information about Koji unaware of at my house. Plus the video distills a mountain of sentiment (that's accelerating daily) that explains why so many are such hardcore lovers of the LC. The fruit and vindication of the "Vision", so beautifully shared in the video, is the LC itself along with the owner-drivers' admiration.

I couldn't help comparing some small knowledge of LFA development to this "vision" heretofore unknown about the LC.
