I looked up "automotive grill" definition and after doing so decided to make this remark to refer to the "automobile exterior body forward of the front tire wells including the 'grill' ". I find it aesthetically very nice, indeed. I like it. Leans to me into the LFA' ish design cut while retaining an elegant/refined LC marker. Already dug my hole for protection from in-coming flack.
See your comparison somewhat. Just me, but think the Tom's design is much more suave. Of course , Tom's has had the advantage of a much grander design stencil to manipulate in the LC. Edit: in my opinion

that is straight up the most hideous LC500 i have seen in my entire life, and I have seen quite a few ugly ones in my time. And as if it wasnt ugly enough, check out the panel gaps on the rear fender. Ewwwww
