Default LC 500 Windshield Wiper Inserts Orientation

Today, I changed the wiper inserts for the first time. Typically, one slides the insert from the inner tip of the blade closest to the center of rotation to the outer tip of the blade and the rubber stopper is locked on the inside tip. That is how it’s been on all my Lexus cars. I noticed that when removing my driver side insert (United States) that the insert was inserted from outer tip to inner tip with the rubber stopper on the out tip. My passenger side was installed like it normally supposed to.

On the LC, is the insert supposed to be with the rubber stopper on the outside tip or inside tip?

I have attached pictures.
Rubber stopper on outer tip as from Factory.

Rubber stopper on inner tip as typically installed. Not the LC OEM inset the rubber stopper side is square shaped which is different than the typical tapered stopper.

Did you figure out an answer for this? I'm trying to replace the inserts on my OEM wipers but couldn't figure out how to take it out. Not sure if there's a tab that I need to push but didn't want to use too much force.

@Ajtos ,

Look at the ends of the blade and see which side has the rubber stopper end of the insert which is locked into the blade. Then pull from that end.

Normally it’s on the end that is closest to the
center of rotation. Except on mine the factory reversed it in my driver side. When I installed my new blades, I installed them with the Rubber Stopper part towards the end closest to the center of rotation as that has been the status quo on all my other Lexus Cars.

Appreciate the reply. I was able to notice what you mentioned and it came out using a bit of force. At least I knew this last time which direction was the correct one. For reference for anyone else trying this, see the photo below for the rubber stopper side with the indent that holds the rubber wiper blade.
