Default Windshield weather strip replacement?

Does anyone know the part # for the rubber weather strip that goes on top of the windshield? Mine has been messed up for a while now, it’s ripped/loose in the middle and sometimes flaps at high speeds. I haven’t had any leaks or issues but I want it resolved eventually. Any tips? I heard the stripping is installed before the windshield is installed so I have no idea what Lexus is going to try to tell me/quote me when I call them tomorrow. But definitely won’t pay a fortune for what seems like a minor issue

Looks to me like the seal goes in before the glass. Glue down the loose section

thanks. I’ve had this loose part in the middle for a few months now with no leaking issues despite snow storms/rain which is why I think a quick fix should work

If the windshield has to come out, better go to Safelite or similar places. Dealer will eat u alive.

Silicone is your friend. Just be sure to clean all surfaces thoroughly and you’ll be a happy camper.

Would something like this work?
Amazon Amazon

Like I said before, mine is torn/ripped in the middle. So there’s actually a small portion missing which causes the ends of each side to come up and flap when driving

Any recommendations for silicone to use? Preferably a black one so it's not noticeable

The 3M you linked to is similar to contact cement not sure that is what you want? If it was me I'd probably use whatever black RTV I had on hand. Mask the edges with tape.

Are you talking about windshield or side window?

The main message is for windshield and that weather stripping has to be cut out and the windscreen comes off.

If you have a leak, try sealing it first.

Actually I’m kinda confused. Is this post about the rear window or the front windshield. This is my front windshield and the black strip pops out.

Hmm. My '14 looks like this. I've been wondering if it's missing something. The windshield was replaced with a Plikington at some point before I bought the car. Always thought it was odd to have the bare glass edge exposed, and as you can see, it's had some damage.

I’m starting to think that the stripping on mine isn’t OEM. The windshield is OEM but looks like someone probably cut a piece of stripping and glued it on. I just went to the dealer and picked up the top strip but it’s different from what I have.
