Default LC inventory scarce, it’s over.

In my recent search for a new LC convertible in USB with blue/white interior, I have noticed the scarcity of new LCs. When I do a nationwide search on Cars.com, Autotrader.com, and TrueCar, very few new LCs, either convertible or coupe come up. When I scan actual Lexus dealer sites, I don’t even see LC as a model to select in a search. It’s like Lexus is done with the LC after 9 years. The few new LCs I do see on the three search sites, are all selling at sticker or above. I do see the possibility of ordering on the main Lexus site but I hear bespoke orders are way behind so I wonder about the units coming out of regular LC production.

The one I found was shipped by Lexus to corp headquarters in Plano Tx and on a six month lease for a Lexus exec. It’s leaving Palm Springs tomorrow for my home near chicago. 2300 miles on the one I purchased. Pics will come once I receive it.

I think except for a few remaining Bespoke orders and Inspiration cars, its over.

Seems entirely plausible - as someone else already noted elsewhere on this board, they have recently removed the Bespoke option from the US website, which suggests to me they'll finish building the current pipeline, then that's it.

The convertible bespoke are still orderable, I wonder if they are using up remaining supplies of parts that are more convertible oriented.

The workers on the LC line are their best and I wonder what happens now with the Motomachi plant and these employees. It doesn’t seem like they have another halo production car in the works to replace the LC. I think people will snap up what’s left and we may see a price spike. Who knows.

GSM of my dealership confirmed this morning with his Lexus rep that Lexus is no longer taking any orders for Bespoke Coupes.

A new Halo car is in the works but its garbage, an all-electric car.

Theres also the twin turbo V8 in the Toyota GR GT, but its styling is EXTREMELY boy-racer wannabe rather than the classy lines of the LC.

I still think there will be an announcement mid-next year of a final batch of LC to give it a "final edition" like they did with the RCF and IS500. I just can't see them abandoning it without a real fanfared farewell. I would not be surprised to see an announcement in spring time of say ~50 verts and ~50 coupes all for 2026 MY in some spec we've not yet seen.

It would be really sad if they didn't do something to formally give it a send off and instead just let it go by the way side.

Turbos are prone to failure. I had two BMWs with crap turbos.

Plan on doing oil changes at 3000 miles to keep the turbo happy.

The V8 in our LC is dependable and we will not see another one like it.

My twin turbo NSX is perfectly happy at 9 plus years on the Chicago roads
It's full of Mobil 1, and oil changes are infrequent

You’re lucky. Turbos on BMWs are failure prone after 60K miles and i wont buy another car with them after that experience.

Oh. Have you seen an official announcement from Lexus on the end of the LC? I havent. There is nothing on their website stating the run has ended. In my recent search I’m just noticing in the last two weeks the reduction in dealer inventory.

You noticed this 4 years ago? You must have data no one else has.

All I know for sure is in Spring of 2025 I decided the LC was the car I aspired to own. It was an exceedingly difficult journey to reach that end with virtually all my options filled. But even back then the rumors were afoot that 2025 was the end. Many orders, Bespoke or not, were in limbo ( or was it Purgatory?) for confirmation. I was already in "better get while you can" mode back then.

Now here we are with what seems is a more acute scramble as Toyota seems to have turned up the heat in the rumor -mill. I see no halo car to replace the LC in the works and completely agree. Oh I see halo cars in the line-up. The LFA-e concept electric and the GR GT. But I have to smile out loud and shake my head at any suggestion they are "in the works to replace the LC." I do think for those of us who appreciate the LC with its very minor imperfections and overall perfections, this is the tragedy.
