Armrest removal?
Searching the form I had not been able to find any information on removing the center armrest top pad. I’ve been investigating and it seems like it’s being held but in a very unusual way. I’m thinking to remove the top pad that is on the double hinges. All the information I’ve seen via Internet is talking about removing the whole council, that’s ridiculous. If you lift the lid up and you look underneath, you do a little prying here and air. It’s definitely being able to separate in 2 pieces. I just don’t know how. There is no binding within sight of the top pad. It’s up underneath somewhere, but I just don’t know how to get to it. Thank you for your help
It's clipped in from underneath. You have to remove the whole console to access the clips. There's no way to separate the pad from the hinge assembly without taking the console out first. It's a pain, but that's how Ford designed it. A trim tool set helps for prying the console pieces up.

It looks like you need to remove the four small caps to access the red screws, which will let you open the cover and give you access to the yellow screws for the hinge.
