I have called every one of them, 99% pre-sold, 2 asking 30-50k mark up and only ONE that is unsold but only willing to sell to their local market. Will keep contacting dealers as more show up. I'm checking Lexus' website, autotrader, visor, etc. As you said, I'm going by the MSRP 121k or above.
Managed to reserve one yesterday. This is what the manager told me after I asked several questions:
For LC500 Inspiration a dealer will usually get one of each (coupe and convertible) if they are getting allocation at all. They do not know how Lexus will allocate the additional convertible. If you see the coupe posted on their website, then it's almost certain already pre-sold.
The impression is that more people looking for coupe for this model year.
Usually high volume dealer will get update from Lexus HQ on certain days, twice a month. <--- find these dates for your local dealers.
Call any dealers within your area that has yet to post on their site for inspiration coupe on their update days. (Wont hurt to call the pre-sold one to put your name on the list in case the buyer back out.)
That's how I got my reservation. When I called in, no one else knows that dealer just got the allocation. They just got informed themselves and have yet to do anything with it.
This year's inspiration coupe has the Active Rear Steering that none of past models have, guess that's one of the reason.
Update: I was able to secure the inspiration series coupe from the amazing folks at Lexus of Watertown. They initially stated they preferred to sell to their local clients but eventually agreed to sell to me. They have all been amazing and if anyone is local I'd highly recommend them based on the experience I've had with them the past 2 weeks. I've dealt with multiple people who have all been very professional, helpful, sold at MSRP and didn't push me to buy any extras or warranties. Patrick, John & Alex are amazing folks. Just wanted to share my experience and give a shoutout to these amazing people!
@khubaib
That is very good news and congratulations!
When dealership staff are professional and treat their customers with respect they should be acknowledged for it. Nice to know you had a wonderful experience dealing with them.

That’s one of my local dealers. They’re one of the few who doesn’t do “market adjustment” even during the market adjustment.
Congrats on the find. Hope you will get it soon.
Good for you! You will love this car. I just bet BAT will be selling them very soon at $25k over MSRP. I also think this Inspiration Edition will hold value. I have a good friend who is also getting a IA coupe like yours. Can't wait to see it! I love my 24 black/red coupe!
Thanks, It should be on a truck later this week and hopefully arrive in a couple weeks. Can't wait. Already got PPF scheduled, custom plates (BEST V8) ordered!
This is all I can stare at from the dealership lol.
Not surprised, a couple dealers I spoke with (who weren't pre-sold for this exact reason) asked for a similar price. Thank god for the good dealers that exist out there. Mine just arrived yesterday, straight to the detail shop for PPF, coating, tint. I have yet to drive the car or even sit in it. I love the car but I don't think the car is worth anything over MSRP. It has a great engine, looks, relatively limited production etc but its priced appropriately. I may be squeezed to pay ~5k over for an inspiration series because I like the color combination and looks over a bespoke but that's a personal preference.
One dealer I spoke to in California told me "Our GM has reserved the car for himself, he will drive it for a few months and sell it back for ~40K over MSRP. Are you interested?" He made it sound like he was selling a GT3 Touring or something. That one got me heated.
