Has anyone ever got their hood and bumper hood/bumper repainted completely?

i have the infrared.
i was planning to get a PPF but seems like the previous owner had a terrible paint job.
he suggest a repaint.

 

Did the previous owner disclose why they repainted their car? Who suggested a repaint? Who said it was terrible? Was the Paint Protection Film to hide the terrible paint job?

shop that was going to a PPF and paint correction for me
same shop, guy told me it was terrible
no PPF was going to be done after shop did some touch up fixes to paint using paint touch up i bought from lexus dealersjop

 

Anything in the CarFax that mentioned the reason for a paint job? Did your shop think the bumper and hood were repainted in total or just touch up paint?

 

I had a new Bumper fitted and repainted due to attempted theft, they sprayed into the wings, but i dont think into the hood. i can't see any difference.

 

Dear Sir, congrats on your new car.. If the wings, {front fender were spotted in to match bumper they would still be completely clear coated along with front bumper.. That great color is a 4 stage. I had a similar issue on a new warped hood and when re-painted wrap shop indicated that a new refinish will not adhere as good as factory baked paint and if you ever have to remove the wrap it might pull the re-paint and be very expensive to repair with so many layer of paint. You mentioned hood might be factory paint so maybe just wrap it..

 

Did you delete the sidemarker lights?

 

He is in the United Kingdom, England, & like us few Kiwis we don't have the side markers ruining the look of our vehicles...but we do have to have front number plates, so I guess it evens the aesthetics out
