Isn’t the Lexus navigation is based off of google now?
I’m 50/50 depends on whether if I’ve searched the place on my phone before taking off or in the middle of a drive and use “Hey, Lexus” “Take me to….”
The problem with the Lexus app is after the subscription over, it’s completely unusable from what I understand based on other model with the same cloud base navigation.
It’s a shame really since it’s the first time I like Lexus navigation.

Lexus navigation takes you on un-optimized routes. I preferred to use it in my '21 ES300h only after verifying it was taking me on a proper route after a quick comparison with google maps on my phone. Its kind of annoying in the 2025 LC, you can tell the system wasn't really designed with it in mind based on simple stuff like not default to your previous view state every time you turn the car on. The new Toyota infotainment system was designed all around android auto (or apple carplay). Atleast with android autot I don't have to touch the screen. I wish I had the old trackpad infotainment system.
Agreed.. Since when?! I can't get nav in HUD on account of Google maps use via android. I think it does via carplay but not via android auto

I take it back, Google Maps is no longer showing in my HUD! Was nice while it lasted… I shall await the next alignment of the software compatibility planets…
Nope, I’m not actually a moron - I know what software I’m using, at any given time, thanks. Folks in other forums have been reporting the same phenomenon in recent weeks - Google Maps in CarPlay suddenly worked in the HUD, and now for some, at least (including me), it’s stopped working just as suddenly. TBH, when it did work, it wasn’t all that impressive - directions only appeared in the HUD shortly before a turn. I do miss the HUD on my old Genesis - that told me anything I could ever want to know, in a nice clear format.

So it worked then suddenly stopped working and did you notice any update done to the software.
It has never worked for me and I’ve never heard anyone else said that it worked.
Unlike my other cars, I’ve never noticed my LC informing me of an OTA update. My phone’s OS is of course regularly updated, as is the Google Maps app itself. I suspect this is something which was quietly released, was buggy for some users, then was withdrawn (hopefully temporarily). The other users I’ve seen reporting a similar experience haven’t been LC drivers, mostly RX, I think, but the later models of those have an infotainment setup which is closely related to the 24-26 LC’s.

Waze seems to be popular with CarPlay users, but not for Android Auto folks
