I'm old and a little thick sometimes so his post on the chrome surround removal made it much easier to install my exhaust tips. Only had to PM him 2 times cause, like I said I'm a little thick. As he has in the past he readily offers his help. One day I'll be able to help him......when pigs fly.
LOL! thanks my friend. They look great! Any rubbing on the trim above them? I'd say thats the only thing to look out for. When the pipes heat up the tips will expand a little and cause marring if they are touching or very close to touching at cold.
Yep, both outside tips were touching very slightly. I could foresee a rub like you had on yours. To prevent any possibility of that, I got some stick on felt tabs---made for furniture legs and then took a razor blade and carefully trimmed the part you could see sticking out. BTW: I went with the 3 1/2" and really glad I did as I don't think the 4" would have even went on. I have a feeling that each cars exhaust might have very slight clearances.

Nice! I can't even tell there is anything there in the pics so that looks like it should work out hopefully! Sometimes I find myself longing for the 4" again, but it's not worth the rubbing at all, and the 3.5" looks good as well!
