Exhaust Diffusers melting? Help please!

Will this be a problem? Muffler shop says a bunch of things will melt this way. I think they just want to sell me there own mufflers. Will anything melt?
Interesting project ~ as long as you use the stock IS-F tips and collector you should be ok!
Just remember the IS-F muffler design has NO TIPS so it just floats within the collector confines. With your ISx50 muffler you probably need to either cut the tips off or weld something smaller so it fits into the diameter of the collector (if that makes any sense)
The OEM IS-F tips do not really get hot since nothing physically touches it.

That's exactly what I thought. As long as the exhaust tip is with in the collector, I should be ok. But this muffler shop is one that was recommended by many car enthusiast, so his opinion tainted my knowledge.
