I was wonder if anyone knows how to defeat the auto door lock on the LC? I have the settings configured off for auto re-lock in the infotainment (2020 LC500) but it still auto locks the door no matter what. Any ideas?
Swear I saw this in settings just lAt week. Gives you the choice of at speed, at gear change, or off.
Yes, I have the setting set to lock after a certain speed but that's when the car is in motion. If the car is parked and turned off after a few seconds the handles retracts and the car locks. The auto re-lock timer setting doesn't seem to do anything, even if I unlock the car but not open any doors, the handles retract and the eventually locks.
The crash safety testing is done with the doors locked, as noted you can select to either have it lock when you put it in gear or have it lock when you drive over a couple of miles an hour, but you cannot defeat the locking altogether. I like the speed setting so I can move the car from garage to drive, or street and it doesn't lock.

Are you sure you are not just thinking the car is locked because the handle retracted? handle retract does not equal locked. This person on reddit seemed to have your opposite problem and it was just a misunderstanding. https://www.reddit.com/r/lexuslc500/...thout_key_fob/

I swore it was locking even though I had it set to not re-lock but I checked without my key on my person and my LC was unlocked. Thanks!
