After test driving a newer model, I was completely frustrated by having to lean ever so slightly forward to use the screen. I'm a huge trackpad guy, it's just way more comfy to me.

I would have preferred the older infotainment as well but I wanted a new car.

The complaints about the touchpad became obligatory it seems for every single reviewer. They never mentioned Climate concierge or voice command functionality. It got to the point where Lexus had to make a change. Ironically very few actual pre 2024 owners complained.

I'm in the other camp. Watched plenty of reviews about the touchpad setup and used it myself. It was an absolute dealbreaker. Now I have a '24. Also, the idea that voice commands are a replacement for hand controls is completely absurd.

From the article,
Lexus' old touchpad-based infotainment system was universally maligned by reviewers, and for good reason. It sucked. The graphics looked old, and the touchpad and other controls were infuriating.
I didn't think the graphics looked old when I bought the car
