Default AutoTop NL--New 3.8 Second Acceleration Reference for LC500

AutoTopNL 0-60 MPH/0-100 KM/H--Measured at 3.8 seconds

I owned an ISF and RCF and enjoyed both of them.
My Porsche 991.2 GTS ran a 3.8. I am not surprised to see the LC do the same in this video. The temperature is 61F. Traction control was not disabled.
Such runs always come down to tires, temp and driver's skill in accelerating the car from a stop.

Not AutoTopNL--They are a reference standard used by many auto websites to document times. Most manufacturers understate 0-60 mph.

There is much more to running a quick time than pressing on the accelerator. A friend who drags the McLaren 570s ran a 10.3 quarter. The car is stock.

Wow! That’s fast. It explains why I see so many around here.

Agreed that they are a respected testing site. Does your LC 500 feel as fast as your Porsche in real world driving conditions?

I looked at the video and I think it was 4.8 and not 3.8. Maybe a typo on the video text?

That would be compatible with the vast majority of testing results. Fast enough for my needs.

That video has 2 stop watches going for the LC and the bottom one seems to be accurate.
0-60 MPH is equivalent to 96.5604 KPH
The car hit that somewhere around 4.5 seconds.

Yes. The 2025 has the new, upgraded and welded front and rear braces. These not only aid in handling and cornering but reduce front and rear body pitch under acceleration. The result is better off the line acceleration and remarkable cornering, especially when equipped with rear-wheel steering.

It’s not the aspirated V8. In the 2025, there is a boost in performance.

Thanks for your feedback. It was already a very solid constructed car with high level of torsional rigidity and so they’ve added more. I love everything about the new version except the tacked on appearance of the touchscreen (No issues other than that). It will either be the 2025 coupe with DHP or 2022-23 L-certified with DHP. The prior in dash screen and analog clock is very aesthetically pleasing. One way or the other I’ll be buying in the late summer/ early fall.

If you are seeking the full sound experience--and optimal performance--the aspirated V8 is the only way to go. The new, welded and upgrade front and rear underfloor braces have had a positive impact on front and rear pitch for the car when subjected to abrupt acceleration. This is why it's running 0-60 mph in sub-4 seconds. I suspect most owners could care less unless they, like me, enjoy spirited driving on highways and back roads.

I did not know how I would react to the touch screen inclusion. I actually prefer it to skating on the mousepad, and I like how it is mounted to the dash--to each his own of course.

You'll greatly enjoy this ride whichever way you decide to go. Best of luck with your acquisition!

Thanks I appreciate your input/insight .I have definitely decided on V8 coupe with DHP. Agreed that I will be very happy with either 2025 or pre 2024 model. Trackpad complaints are overblown IMO because I realize voice command and climate concierge can manage 95% of needs (And there’s Apple Car play). I do recognize the additional chassis bracing is clearly a positive asset in the new models. So really a matter of how much importance I place on the interior aesthetics. Granted it is not a life and death issue. 😊 In the big picture the revered Motomachi Tukumi team built a marvelous GT car.

FYI on Windows you can move a single frame forward/back on a Youtube video by pausing the video then using the period (.) and comma (,) keys.

Yeah there's something wrong with how they're recording time on this video. Both stopwatches start roughly the same time, here's the first frame when they measure time/speed and are slightly misaligned (18 milliseconds):

And then when the car's speedometer exceeds 100 km/h they're 1031 milliseconds off:

One of these two clocks is wrong. Odds are it's the top one, since the LC500 didn't just magically gain a second of 0-60 time with no significant mechanical upgrades.
