Maybe I need to move back to SoCal .

He's going to contact Lexus again to see if they have any more advice on how to fix it, but I'm not too optimistic about that given that it seems that no one has found a permanent fix yet.
I would be inclined to avoid welding the actual brace to the car, but not so much where I showed the brace connector to the B pillar. Having said that, I am now wondering whether we might just be looking in the wrong place and for the following reasons. As we know to get to the brace area an amount of trim needs to be removed to provide access to any bolts that we believe could benefit from a tightening, whether they actually needed it or not might be debatable. However, putting everything back together seems to solve the problem, but was it the act of disassembly/reassembly that cured the problem? I'm thinking the fact some trim was removed and then reinstalled might have actually been the solution. For instance, are there clips that have gone weak and are allowing movement? I suggest this because in the very early days of ownership my cabin light just at the front of the roof kept dropping down when I went over poor road surfaces, but a new clip which needed considerably more force to relocate the light stopped that phenomena in an instance. Could it be that those self same types of clips which are used elsewhere on the rear trim allow movement and that oh so familiar click to appear? The more I think about this (and maybe wishfully) the more I wonder whether we are hearing a metal on metal click or at least a metallic sound, but could it be those clips? Just a thought.......

May be the additional braces in MY 2025 added stiffness to the car chassis to Eliminate such issues, anyone with 2025 LC experiencing same problem?

The knocking sound in my 2017 is getting ridiculous now! There is a knock sound in EVERY single minor flix the car body do including normal acceleration from stop or turning or going over rough road surface

its coming from under the passenger seat near the b pillar, at least thats where i expect it to be

it stayed at the dealer for 3 months and they could not find the reason why it makes this sound. They told me its most likely related to the accident i had on the rear side of the car back in 2020 and must go to the body shop for deeper check. I lost hope

I stand corrected, thanks for pointing it out.

Very interesting when you note that the LC has the most rigid body Lexus has ever built...even more rigid than the LFA.

The dealership isn't always the best place to fix these issues since Lexus hasn't really recognized it as an issue, so their tech's don't have a solution. See if you can find the body shop that your dealer recommends, or a Lexus-certified repair shop. It's a common enough issue that you should be able to find a Lexus body shop to troubleshoot where the noise is coming from. It sounds exactly like what I have on mine, so you could also try the fix above to see if that helps address your issue.

Don't give up, since fixing this squeak - even if just for a few months before I have to do it again - is absolutely worth the time invested.

I'm beginning to wonder whether the problem could be brake related, could it be something akin to the pads rocking in the calipers? On UTube there are numerous vids of brake pads rocking in their calipers and making just the sound many of us are familiar with. Just a thought for what it is worth.......

I sometimes get this when I stop after reversing out of my driveway, as there is a slight decline on the street in front of my house.

I know for sure that the sound is coming from the horizontal brace that connects the b pillar of the car. Not only have I confirmed this myself through the fix above, but I just upgraded my brake pads and while the brake squeaking has now stopped, the interior squeak continued until I applied the fix above.

However, this is for my specific vehicle and I'm sure there are other issues at play for others.

I think my suggestion of brakes being the problem was probably wide of the mark and the more I think about it, the more it seems implausible. Come this weekend (subject to my son's availability), then the fix you applied will be tested out but with one difference. I'll try and establish whether the brace bolts are tight prior to re-tightening them and if "loose" I'll apply some blue Loctite (243 I think) and see how long the car stays quiet. Having done quite a few miles last weekend I'm even more keen to resolve this nuisance!

I'm very curious to hear of your experience once you've attempted this. For me, the three bolts that attach the brace vertically to the b-pillar are the problem. Mine were still screwed on tight, but needed to be tighter. You may also want to research using Loctite since someone previously mentioned not to use it on aluminum. I don't think that's the metal Lexus used, but not 100%.

Good luck this weekend and let me know if you have any questions before applying the fix.
