Thanks for all the responses.
I was gathering info here, etc to make an informed decision before purchasing or making any offers.
I will not be purchasing this vehicle or dealing with this dealer for anything.
The search will continue.
Thanks again!

As soon as they made this statement, that would’ve been my cue to find the Exit door.

SO GLAD you dodged that bullet and made the sound decision to walk away and NOT have any future dealings with them 👍

Good Luck in your search — you will find the one you’re supposed to and we will be here, Happy for you

Is it just me or is $78k for 37k miles (convertible in post #13) too expensive?

For me, 37,000 miles is around 10 years of driving, so high price and well used vehicle. I've had my 23 vert for 18 months and have 4,100 miles on it. It will be coming out of hibernation in a couple weeks.

IMO, i think you made an excellent decision to walk away and find another vehicle and dealership. Im shocked they would L-Certify a vehicle with an obvious issue that could be expensive to fix I.would expect to.see this vehicle on one of those secondary corner lots, not a Lexus Dealership. If they are trying to pawn this LC off, what else are they doing? I would not trust that dealership at all, not even for parts or accessories.

One other thing: 37,000 miles for a 2021; in my mind the owner probably drove this vehicle in winter months. If it's a Michigan driven vehicle, it's probably showing some underbody rust due to all the chemicals and salt being used on roads and parking lots. A quick look at the service history will give you some insights on this.

Yea not sure if it's a Michigan only vehicle, could be a back/forth to FLA car if so. Mine is stored from about December till March, just came out of hibernation yesterday and hopefully a long drive today.

They are using some kind of Beet juice/Salt extract for the Brine up here now. The Beet juice is supposed to adhere the Salt to the road better (reduction of amount) and melts at lower temps. Still, I wouldn't drive my LC in the winter up here (have other all wheel drive vehicles). That said, not sure the comparison between road salt and Ocean salt for shoreline communities and vehicles, lots of discussion on that one.

I negotiated my 23' (in 24) from this dealer. The 23 was new sitting next to the 24. We negotiated to 95K out the door (cash). So they would probably negotiate down in price until the Sun comes out up here. That said, if it's a used vehicle I would not purchase anything that isn't Lexus Certified.

You really got a tremendous deal 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾. I was planning on purchasing mine in fall of 24, but when I saw the the tablet stuck on the dash, I rushed to find a new 23 which I secured in September 23. Mine was $114,855 but cash price of $107,500. I prefer the elegance of the interior of pre-24 years over the touchscreen. My 2013 LS had a similar touchpad, so I was already use to it. The only thing I wish I had that the 24 has is the forward facing camera, thats a biggie in my opinion. However, the concierge features work very well once you get it setup, it took me several tries to get right, still not perfect because sometimes the neck heaters are on when I don't want them on 😀. Anyway we all love our LCs no matter what year or configuration 😎

Great pricing! I also didn't care for the aesthetics of the newer dash, so we are in agreement on that. My biggest compromise, the colors weren't my first choice. I've found myself just backing into parking areas now to use the rear camera and added Sliplo on the front lower in case. I also added the Ottocast for wireless carplay, hated doing the dongle thing everytime. Enjoy the ride!

Nice mods. How is the Outcast working out, any problems connecting or unwanted disconnects? I'm not familiar with the Sliplo, I'll have to look into it. So far I've only added the Lexus Card Key which I love! Next weekend I'll add some home made exhaust tips thanks to Timado404 for leading the way. Early summer I'll look into window tinting, I've been hesitant to pull the trigger because I need an expert installer who won't damage or break any clips removing panels. I put a coat of wax on yesterday and another coat on today. Almost time to bring her out 😎 Yes, enjoy your ride too, let's all have a safe summer driving experience!

I got lucky on colors and spec, and to top it off, the car was only one state over 🙂 The exterior and interior colors are what I wanted and it was fully equipped, but I preferred the tan top over the black. Once I saw the black in person, I was okay with it since it picks up the black accents on the wheels, mirrors and trim pieces.

I assume you meant ottocast. I bought this cheap one on AliExpress about 6 months ago for $16 and it's worked perfectly for me. I think that they all basically use the same technology for the most part.

Four years ago, I paid $750.00 installed, including tax.
