I don't recall exactly, but I'm pretty sure there was nothing there that applied.

2021 Multimedia manual on page 73 shows you how to turn on the speed limit function on the map. It is under the "traffic information" icon on the map.
Turn this on and see if your HUD will now shows the speed limit.
Online manual can be found here.

Edit 2: I guess it's both nav based AND actual sign based via camera:
I only see RSA being mentioned in the '24 manual.
'21 model year does not have it mentioned anywhere in the manual.

I have to check if my RSA is turned on or not in my '24.
The reason why I think it's from the map is because we have several "35 MPH" limit signs that are clearly spray paint to "85 MPH" and my HUD says 35 MPH. I highly highly doubt it's smart enough to know that sign has been vandalized if it doesn't read it from the preloaded map.

I know TSS 2.0 had RSA, and I have that in my '21 Sienna. Not sure when LSS 2.0 was rolled out and if it mirrored TSS 2.0 or not though. Likely if not in manual then not equipped for those models, so they must be getting it from NAV as you mentioned

From what I gathered in the 2021, the HUD should be able to display the speed limit. And it does seem to link to the navigation map setting. So if you have it turned off on the map, it will not appear in the HUD.

I just confirmed that Lexus only used Lexus Safety System+ in the LC until 2024, at which point they implemented Lexus Safety System+ 2.5. They skipped right over 2.0 for the LC. So 2024 is the first year of the LC having the proper RSA as part of the safety suite.

Mystery unnecessarily created by me solved!

BINGO. That solved the problem.

The only way to enable/disable the speed limit indicator is to do so through the native Lexus map, and then to navigate to a rather obscure icon to the left of the map, which then in turn, brings up the setting to enable /disable the speed limit indicator. The odd thing is that I NEVER use the native map, much less navigate around that screen. I use 'Waze' exclusively. That being said, I must have inadvertently done that at some point in the last few days as that is the only explanation. Very strange.

Thanks for the guidance.

Glad that was easy and saves a trip to the dealer! @NickL wins the day!

Well, I'll be For better than five years, I've wanted the speed limit indication removed from my HUD. All the experts said it couldn't be done WRONG Thanks to NickL, It's now gone and just shows the compass, rather than switching back and forth between the two
