The convertible looks nice with the top down. I have owned two convertibles (Mustang, Saturn Sky) and on those nice weather days, they were a joy to drive with the top down. I live in South Texas where we enjoy mild winters and extremely hot summers where temps are in the triple digits for weeks, not days, at a time. Unless you're a masochist, summertime driving with the top down is best done before late morning and in the late evening. I believe the LC 500 is one of the most attractive vehicles and an indispensable part of that attraction are it's smooth lines. The convertible top takes away from that beautiful original concept design aesthetic. Additionally, if you are like me and desire the dynamic handling package and all that it offers in performance, it's not an option with the convertible. I wanted to prefer the convertible. I even test-drove the convertible in the hope that I might be convinced to overlook the diminished aesthetic appeal with its top up and perhaps I could be persuaded to forego the Dynamic Handling package. Nope. The "idea" was better than the reality. The convertible was beautiful and fun to drive with the top down as I expected. However, with the top up, there were too many negatives. As I mentioned it just doesn't look as nice as the coupe. You have less sightline out of the rear as the window back window is much smaller. The trunk space is already small on the coupe and even less on the vert. No rear steer and no speed-activated rear wing. On 02/03/25, I purchased the 2025 Coupe, Cloudburst Gray, Toasted Carmel interior, All-Weather package, HUD, and other options.

Congratulations on your purchase! I bet that you’ll experience no regrets. Coupe with the dynamic handling package is very appealing and I clearly understand your choice.BTW I like the wheels you have more than the standard 2024-25 wheels. Very nice and understated look (Both the car and wheels).
Terry - congrats on your new car, drive it in good health! BTW - I have the exact same color combo (the cloudburst gray over toasted caramel) but mine is a '23 convertible with a black top (just turned 7500 miles). The weather in NC is so consistently great that anytime it's above 50 degrees here, I'm enjoying life with the top down (about 90% of the time year-round). Wishing you many years of happy motoring with your new LC!
If Only you'd gone for the Rioja Red interior.

That Rioja Red is niiice. One of the verts I test-drove was Cloudburst Gray/Rioja Red with a black top. That color combo is nice and that merlot-like red is a more subtle type of red and is not overbearing. Yet it does "pop", unlike the Toasted Caramel, which is a more understated and calming aesthetic more suitable to my taste.

Thanks! I like you, I really like that Clouburs Gray/Toasted Caramel combo! I had an order in for an Iridium/Toasted Caramel coupe with the touring package. I always liked gray but as I already own a gray (Nebula Gray) IS I was resistant to buying another gray vehicle. However, the more I saw that Cloudburst Gray, I knew I had made a mistake not only in my exterior color choice but also in my choice of option package. While impatiently awaiting my allotment, I continued to look almost daily for new coupes arriving at Lexus dealerships here in Texas. And on 02/03/25 the one I purchased showed up on their webpage. I called the dealership and they told me it had "just arrived" and was still on the transport truck. I immediately drove to the dealership and by the end of the day, I was driving it home.

You'll soon learn that a handful of posters in here believe that their opinion is the only correct one. With that being said, I can appreciate your choice. It gives the car a more luxurious look over the red interior IMO. Congrats Terry.
I have the 2024 Rioja Red and Cloudburst Gray, black top. The red is gorgeous. It is much better than the previous Lexus red. It is move of a muted dusty deep rose/red, rather than the old brighter lighter red. When I open the door, everyone's reaction is always "OMG, that is gorgeous
. . ."

Yes, exactly why a variety of colors are offered in the first place. We all have our individual taste and preferences. The LC 500 is inherently attractive (Exterior and interior) it’s actually difficult to muck it up regardless of color chosen.
Has anyone modded an LC 500 convertible to make it hard top? That was the one thing I was hoping for before they discontinued. The coup looks so good, but the convertible is such a good thing to drive - and a hard top LC 500 convertible would have been the perfect solution! Could still be but we need an engineer on it :P
