Agree about the duffles, being able to squish them is key. Same issue is with some long gun cases, I have several that don't fit if using hard cases. I usually make a couple trips each year, all hardware in the trunk and the clothes duffle in the back seat.
Was hoping for a "mod" that would turn the back seat into a removable shelf/storage area, at a reasonable price point of course.
The Jack and Tools if Toyota/Lexus will fit under the mat and the Road Triangle fits on the back well wall in the straps.
Here is my normal trunk setup. Behind the net is an after market pump and plug kit, grocery totes, jumper cables, squeegee and dust brush. I just used the LC 500 cargo net and mounted it vertically. First Aid Kit and Microfiber cloth on the right strapped down and then Road Triangle and Umbrella on the rear trunk wall strapped in.
I’m pretty minimal with what I’m carrying; electric flare/light, 1st aid kit, poncho, and jumpers. Having the run-flats along with Lexus Roadside, it would be a serious situation for me to even attempt to repair/change a tire (I know theres lots of discussions about the run-flats, but I’m not nuanced enough to know the difference).
Recently used the Lexus Roadside for my NX, pretty impressive with the support and knowledge. They had specific questions about the problem so they would know what type of tow truck to bring. In my case, the emergency brake could not be released so they needed a flatbed with skids.
Do you have a coupe or convertible? My car is being delivered end of Sept…still good weather to golf in Virginia!
I was told “hey, my golf bag fit” when I was looking at a convertible from the GM. I don’t golf but I will assume if convertible can handle a golf bag, so can’t a coupe.
I can get two golf bags in the car. One in the trunk and the other across the back seat. It's a tight fit and you have to be careful putting them in the back seat (I lay a towel across the seats) but they fit. Shoes too. 😃
My golf clubs fit in the trunk of my convertible without taking and clubs out of the bag. Insert the "heads" of the clubs on the right hand side (there is more room) and then the bag should fit in nicely. Of course I removed the goop kit.
