So the first wireless CarPlay in a 100k car was 2024?!!
Sad and astonishing
Yes. 100k pre 2024 LC500 does not have 360deg camera either nor the tech that actually keep your car in lane.
If you want feature rich vehicle from Lexus, better off looking at their more popular models (ES, NX, RX)
Put one on my 21 RX350- about bricked the whole system.
Glad yours works but I won't be doing that again.
Dealer installed the Beat-Sonic in my wife's 2018 RXL350. Only problem we had was the display was incorrectly set. Contacted Beat-Sonic and they immediately responded with the fix. Was merely a display settings issue.
That said, there are slight delays sometimes with initial connections especially when multiple drivers use the system.
I got one previously for my Merc, the connection is very unstable, and the lag can be horrible intermittently.
Please let me know your thoughts
Installed since March. An update was done after about a Month. The update was "pushed" since after reading some had issues if they did the update without having problems. I'm the only driver, so that probably helps with connections. Once connected I've not experienced any lag times, cursor issues, display issues or mapping issues (Waze). Can say it doesn't like loss of Cell signal but does reconnect on its own. Several locations along I80 cell drops, can be unnerving if you don't know since it just shows the main display.
My experience with Lexus (and Toyota) is CarPlay is not a priority. Even wired CarPlay can be glitchy. But considering the amount of different (in our case iPhones) and IOS updates etc. it works good enough for us.
