Sun Visor Air Bag Warning Decals
Has anyone successfully removed the sun visor air bag warning decals on their LC?
I've read about 2 options:
- using a blow dryer to heat it up
- using isopropyl alcohol to saturate it
I just tried to remove one with a blow dyer, without success, maybe it needed more time. This method worked well on my previous car.
I'm hesitant to try using isopropyl alcohol.

Yep. I so dislike these labels. So distracting, esp with a bit of OCD.
Anyway, I knew if I tried to remove it, I’d likely hack it up. What I did is buy some self stick black felt lining (really inexpensive, any kind like jewelry box lining). My interior is dark so black worked perfectly; close match and mate finish so no reflection. Carefully cutting the right size pieces and rounding the corners, I simply stuck them OVER the label and “Voila”, no longer distracting. Also, if necessary it can be easily removed.
I ended up doing this on all 3 of our cars.

It’s been a few decades since I even walked inside of one, and nowadays you can probably find some guy in Oklahoma who can do it remotely via mail and ship it back within days, but I’d imagine that any auto upholstery shop could cover them up for a few hundred bucks for the pair.
