Finally ready to look for a 2021-2023 LC 500 Vert, but....

Dealers are ALWAYS interested in a trade-in if they can sell you a newer car. But the price they will give you for the trade-in is dependent upon whether or not they want to keep it on their used car lot. If not, then they will sell it at wholesale price to a Dealer who sells those cars (meaning a Jaguar Dealer, in your case), which means you will get less-than-wholesale price. In a few cases, you may get wholesale price and they are simply making a markup on the car you buy from them and just passing on the trade-in to the other dealer at zero markup. You will ALWAYS get a better price if you sell privately.....but as you say, there is a lot of hassle that goes with it. If your XKR is in very good shape, I wonder if an auction house will consider auctioning it?

I say finally, because I still love my 2013 Jaguar XKR convertible. Car is a pleasure to own and drive, mint with low miles and very desirable spec, but I really want an LC ......
Since I haven't personally sold these kind of cars before, need suggestions for smoothing the process of selling the XKR and the best way to go about it.
Thanks
