Default Auto Start/Stop

I cannot tell you how Happy I am that Lexus did not put the Auto Start/Stop option in our cars. It has been the biggest pain in the *** of all my past cars …. I hope you all agree!
Not sure how they got away with it? Because most cars, if not all modern new cars have this option.

I understand this as a function for hybrid vehicles.

Someone may correct me, but I’m not aware of any V8 that has an auto start/stop? Although the thought of hearing the start up roar at every red light is hilarious haha

Non-hybrid can also have this feature as well. Ie. LX600 on default will have this when you start the car. However, there’s a button you can disable it but you have to press it every time you start the car to disable it.

Our F-Pace SVR, F-Type R, & GMC AT4 w/ the 6.2L all have auto stop/start. Lots of V8s have it and it is a pain in the ***.

Wow. I thought having to constantly select sport plus mode after restarting the car was frustrating. Not aware the LC has this function.

It is in hybrids by design. It's spreading to many non hybrid models these days as well.

Not looking forward to this in future purchases. I share woodranch's sentiment.

My V8 Silverado has it, but there is a defeat switch on the dash. It needs to be defeated after any restart. Do I defeat it on every drive❓You beat I do

Try the auto start eliminator. The dash switch is still functional, but it remembers the last setting and will automatically revert to it.

my new g63 is V8 biturbo and has auto start/stop. First thing I do is to turn it off lol. So nice to see LC500 doesn’t have it
