^^^^I have it with the glass roof. While very nice it really doesn't do the two things you mention. I leave the sliding panel open all the time to expose the glass roof
I like the rich look of the Alcantara. It leaves a pattern when you brush against it.
It does not add any sound dampening.
The LC is not a loud car (except exhaust which is perfect) and exempt for the stupid Dunlop Run Flat tires (trying to run them ragged) which make a lot of noise. I will replace the Dunlop RF with Michelin PSS non run flat when the time comes
