Default Steering column misaligned with dashboard.

Hi everyone. Help me to find peace of mind. I recently noticed that steering column is not aligned well. The left side is higher than a right one. Look at the turn signal stalk and wipers stalk on other side. What I also found that steering wheel needs to be turned counter clockwise about one or two degrees. Is it just me, and I need to unsee it somehow or I need to take it to dealer and ask for fix?

Is your car under warranty? If so, take it to the dealer and stop worrying about it.

If your warranty is expired....you could still take it in.

I will take it for oil change soon and will ask about steering column adjustment. I don’t know how it is even possible, how it was assembled like so.
does anyone see same issue or it is just me “lucky one”

It's an alignment issue. Assuming you are out of warranty, take it to any good alignment specialist and tell them of your issue. Early correctable.

what do you mean by that? Should I just ask for steering wheel re-centering? But what about that piece behind steering wheel, it still will be staying twisted.

if they fix the alignment with steering wheel re-centering will the piece behind rotate as well? That piece which is rotated clockwise is not moving when I rotate the wheel, how it will be aligned when they adjust the center of the steering wheel?

So I’m driving to work right now and looked at my light and wiper stalks and said to myself “holy **** I have the same damn problem as microsup - what happened to Lexus’ relentless pursuit of perfection!?!” But upon further review I realized my wipers were down one notch in the “auto” position - I clicked them up one notch into the “off” position and now they are perfectly aligned with the wiper stalk Hopefully your wiper stalk is just in the “auto” position like mine was.

you gave me a hope! Now I can spend the rest of my vacation thinking that my baby is fine, it is just an auto wipers position.
thanks GatorGreg, will let you know when I am at home.

I wouldn't let the dealer open it up to fix this, especially if it's not affecting anything with how the car functions. They'll break things and pieces then you'll have to take it back in.

can't someone take a pic of their steering wheel with the wiper stalk in the auto position to show if it looks like microsup's to put their mind at ease?

Geez - I sure mis-read the OPs post. I interpreted it to mean the wheel was off center I was sure off base on that one Ignore my above post

What’s wrong with your camera?

J/K here ya go:

Wiper stalk in “auto” - appears to be crooked

Wiper stalk in “off” position - looks perfect again
