RCFsport vs Lc500..what was Lexus logic
I'm just curious what they were thinking?
RC fsport with Lc500 V8 engine enginelranny cooler.
Lc500 has no fsport option, no tyranny cooler...Amd yet the lower sub model car got all the being bling closing the gap between the models..

One is an F. The other is just normal.
F cars are meant for track and high performance. This is why RCF/GSF can run more laps without overheating than the LC500.
With that said, Lexus has this stupid thing that their flagship or higher price vehicle doesn’t necessary has all the features of their lower tier. ie. GS-350 has optional rear wheel steer. Heated steering wheel, power rear sunshade, windshield de-icer that their GSF never seen.

That is kinda where I am going with this.

All sorts of lower end models and SUV's have F-sport upgrades except the LC500. and yet.. the RC-F has taken the engine and other aspects that we paid $100k for this car.. and Lexus throws some of the same important drivetrains in that model.. and doesn't reciprocate with any F-Sport upgrades of the LC500... I was just trying to wrap my brain around that.
Its like Nissan putting the GT-R engine and suspension in the 400zx model, calling that the Nismo and selling it for just a little more than it sells for now while keeping the GT-R.. I was just tryin go understand why they sorta screwed over the LC500 a little bit.

Funny you say that because that's a good guess. From what I've heard, the LC F was supposed to have a twin turbo V8 powertrain and pushing 620hp. Unfortunately, it's never seeing the light of day or be sold to the masses. I'm guessing the next generational move is electric.
The only car I see in my future to put in the garage beside the LC will probably be a Ferrari V12 like the GTC/F12/812, as that's the only interesting NA engine left at this point. Anything else is basically just a waste of money as far as getting something that feels good to drive, rev, and listen to.
The LC not having turbos is a bigger selling point for the car than some useless horsepower could have been. The main reason I bought one was because I wanted the NA engine music, and after having driven this, compared to my previous cars being a turbo diesel and a turbo+supercharged hybrid petrol, I would never go back.

It would have to lose a lot of weight first.
Lexus reportedly developed a new 4.0L TTV8 for a proposed LC-F, there was video of a forced-induction LC from Japan and they even trademarked "LC-F" in 2017 but then let the trademark expire in 2020.
I'm very confused at the fact that the LC500 doesn't have a transmission cooler (and apparently didn't get one in the 2024 refresh), as there are occasional reports of the transmissions overheating. At the Lexus Performance Driving School the instructors intentionally run the LC500's in Sport S -- not Sport S+ -- so that the transmissions don't overheat. What do the instructors drive / do hot laps in? RC-F's and GS-F's.

FYI the trans in the GS-F, RC-F and IS500 is an 8-speed. The LC500 has a 10-speed. Also, the trans overheating in the LC (by all reports I've ever seen) only occurs in Sport S+, not Sport S. Not surprisingly, everybody hops in and puts the car in Sport S+. On track days with LPDS running the car in Sport S (no plus) we don't have trans overheating issues.
Lexus did design a trans cooler for some special edition Japanese version, but apparently they haven't made that widely available.
