Ambient Lighting Upgrade!
While doing my research on the LC500 prior to purchasing the car, one of the biggest complaints that I've heard over and over again is the quality of the ambient lighting compared to it's competitors. While ambient lighting isn't necessarily a deal breaker, I think we can all agree that the LC500 is lacking in that department. I'm specifically referring to how the car automatically dims the ambient lighting once taken out of park. Now that I own the car I understand the frustration...It's extremely dim! Now I don't believe that any of us are looking for a nightclub environment in our cars like Mercedes and BMW have done, but I think we can all agree that it is extremely dim and most of us would like the ability to brighten the lighting if we choose to do so.
With that being said I've reached out to a few companies/manufacturers to see if they would be interested in solving this problem for us. This thread is to gauge consumer interest in such a product. It would most likely be some type of inexpensive plug and play wired harness that would simply prevent the dimming once taken out of park and put into gear.
If you are at all interested in this product for your car, please respond in this thread and let your voice be heard. The companies that I have reached out to want to ensure that there is a market for this product before they invest their time and money to develop it. They are asking for links to forums, Facebook, etc. showing owners like ourselves expressing interest. I'm not making a cent off of this and I am simply doing this to correct one of the few flaws with our amazing cars.
Updated info:
Bad news to everyone that was interested. The company I was talking to said that their manufacturer overseas wouldn't be interested due to the low volume of this car. FYI...there is also a different thread on the forums where someone posted a software setting that can control the dimming. That doesn't work and I commented on that thread as well. There is no current solution to this situation.

I have mortgage payments, 2 car payments, insurance, and other life stuff.
Customize all day.. Ill see the pics and enjoy but Im out... At almost 50... My priorities are elsewhere
