Default Navigation map update 2018 LC500

Getting this message when starting up a 2018 LC500 (bought in June 2017). I have the Remote, Destination Assist and Safety Connect all on auto-renew, and they all renew on a different date than on the message. My dealer has no idea what this message is about, the updates should be dynamic anyway. A call to 1-800-25-LEXUS shed no additional light on this. Has anyone else had this message pop up and how was it resolved? Any input would be appreciated.

Hate to be captain obvious, but looks like you can resolve it by clicking "Do Not Tell Me Again."

click Do Not Tell Me Again and use CarPlay for your maps.

I would like to update my maps just for the most accurate speed limit notices via the MFD and HUD. Can this only be done at the dealership? I searched on this forum but couldn't find anything relevant...

If I understood it right then you can actually install Lexus app on your phone and purchase a map subscription if you want. No need to go to dealer.

I have a 2018 and the dealer was never able to connect the Lexus app with the vehicle, so unfortunately I’m not able to upgrade via the app. Sounds like I would need to take it to the dealer to upgrade, which means I may just skip it.

Somehow or another I acquired a map update and followed the procedure to install it but without success. I took it to my dealer who acknowledged I'd just spent much money on a "major" service with only something like 7K miles on the car, and they installed it for me, albeit I think they too had some difficulties. As "antident" says, the Lexus app simply will not connect to the LC at least here in the UK. I wish I could remember how I obtained the update file which as I recall was something like 12 mb in size but sadly owing to an earlier life or wild women and song I cannot!.

Edit: It's just come to me, I downloaded the file from the Lexus site and it was freely available for cars under 3 years old.
