FYI...there are already two Lexus models for 2024 on lexus usa's website and one’s already available as of March, so clearly not everything is slotted for the fall.

I reached out to Lexus USA via their portal re the 24 LC’s. Their response was a bit interesting as they said: “The LC’s model year release is typically in the fall”.

I placed my order mid-March, and my sales advisor said it would be a MY24. I just assumed it was because of the long lead times.

Can you ask your sales advisor to expand upon this, it would be most helpful. Did he/she say how far out your scheduled production would be?

My SA said that Lexus had accepted our order, but a production date has yet to be set. Based on previous orders thru his dealership for LC's, he was expecting a 5 to 6-month delivery time. They are an Elite Lexus dealership, so apparently have good luck with allocations.

The Lexus Europe site says MY24 production is to start in May, so unless a build is confirmed and scheduled in April, that tells me everything else will be a MY24. I could find no info on when the US builds would start.

Thanks, I reached out directly to Lexus US and asked them:
1) Does the EU release new MY's at the same time as the US? Their response was: We can only comment on matters pertaining to Lexus USA.
2) Will the 24 LC start production in May as in the EU? Their response was: Information on the LC is traditionally released in the fall.

Today my SA informed me the 24 NX's were put into their allocation with no prior notice (they got 20), and indeed 23 was a short model year for them. So, I guess there's still some hope the 24 LC may emerge sooner than" traditionally" expected. He also said Lexus informed them they are stepping up overall production moving forward. I also asked if a 23 that's not been placed into production status would be changed to a 24, but he could not confirm nor deny this.

Once they start building 24's for Europe in May, I would think that would be it for 23's worldwide. It just looks like the US is second in line for the 24's. Since the 24 cycle has started earlier than usual for the LC, my SA speculates that the US builds will start in July/August. I hope I'm near the front in the US line.

Multiple SAs at various dealers told me that Lexus is unlikely to produce custom builds anytime soon on the 24LC. The first allocations will be mostly full package builds with some choice only as it pertains to colors. That's apparently the case with most IS500s which apparently have more than a 9 month wait.

I would agree with this, did they happen to indicated when production might begin for the LC?

One dealer is putting people on a list for the '24 with a deposit and another just tell me they'll let me know when it's available to order. Both said if I put in a '23 order, there's no guarantee that it will get turned into a '24.

The Lexus Europe site states that MY24 LC500 production will begin in May. There is only one plant and one production line for the LC. Hard to believe they would change the line back over after May for MY23 production for the US. I placed my order in early March and my SA is confident it will be a MY24 build. Still no word on when US production may begin. I might still be 6-8 months out on delivery.
