I have been shopping for a replacement of my SC430 for a couple of weeks now.

Looking for a LC 500 convertible only. Have been looking at both new and used.

I have driven a couple of used 21’s.

I have seen prices dropping on used ones across the US from several dealers. The further west I search the lower the prices on a lot of them.

I have also found a couple dealers offering discounts of $4-5k off MSRP on new ones.

What I find strange is some dealers are pricing their 21’s at 22 and almost 23 levels.

Now I am reading about the new 24’s coming out in the next several months and having a hard time deciding if I should just wait to see the new ones or pull the trigger on a nice used example or a new 23 model.

There are a lot of new 23’s sitting on dealers’ showrooms.
I can’t help but feel there are going to be some good deals to be made on them once the 24’s start arriving.

It depends on how much money you want to spend. There are many solid used LCs on autotrader from reputable dealers with low mileage. Just yesterday I saw a 2019 coupe with only 4,700 miles for $82K. Let the first owner take the depreciation hit. Perhaps the used verts are not as cheap. There is no hurry when shopping. You can find great used LCs that are bargains compared to buyong new. On the other hand, if money is no object, splurge on the exact build you want. Six months ago, I found a used 2018 with only 1,800 miles on it, and snapped it up.

2024 if you want touchscreen, new user interface and 360 degree camera. The rest seems pretty much standard affair for the LC.

if you want to save a buck or two, then get a used one and you’ll have the same experience.

I was initially leaning towards a used one but the new interface and 360 camera on the new ones have me rethinking my decision.

Before you make the jump. Go try a new RX or NX and see if you can live with that user interface. That’s the new one.

it’s righteously horrible in my opinion. It’s so bland, the menus are boring to look at, and you can’t even split screen like the old UI.

then go try any previous product with a touchpad and compare it.

Good advice. I will definitely check it out.

Ohhh but that Blue interior...🤪
If it could get that and the right Silver or Blue exterior...
That might make me forget about a red interior and touchpad.

I'll be releasing a video tomorrow on the 2024 LC and whether it'd be a good idea to wait for it. Lots of the changes are incremental, but the ones which would be noticeable and "decision making", would be the infotainment/touchscreen and the interior/exterior colors. Most of the other stuff can be changed in the aftermarket. They also mentioned some changes in the driving dynamics (which we don't have much info on just yet), which include suspension, bracing/rigidity, trans, and engine mounts. Unless you're willing to wait it out for a good 4-6 months, and experience those changes, then look at the used market now...
If it would be me looking for an LC - and never owned one before, I'd wait it out.

If it is going to be that long, I will most likely go with a new 23 or a used 22. I would not want to have to wait through another winter before enjoying top-down weather.

Lexus has claimed they've made similar changes just about every year of the LC. Japanese philosophy of kaizen - continuous improvement.

That said having driven a '22 and a'18, most drivers won't be able to tell.

Here in S Florida it’s still msrp for a new 23, dealers still tout them as ultra rare blah blah with as you state, many sitting on dealer lots. The covid era pricing has to change as everyone is gouging each other no matter the business and the consume is getting taken for a ride in the process.

Yes I read that - but keep in mind this was unveiled for the European market. We haven't heard anything yet for the North American one yet. I don't doubt that it will be the same - with a few exceptions on color nomenclature and "Ultimate edition" imo - but I've been reading about people waiting 3-6 months on receiving their order once made with their dealer.
