I really hope that Lexus keeps the infotainment screen embedded in the dash. If they just slap some tablet with a giant bezel onto the dashboard, it will destroy the beautiful interior design.

not sure why we're covering GX or IS updates in this LC500/h forum.

Because they are an indication of what updates could come to
The LC.

But they still arent new models. Probably along the lines of the ES/Ux/21IS."

The problem with using the acronym IS meaning Inspiration Series is confusing, at least to me Because the IS is also a line of sporty sedans produced by Lexus. The Lexus I had before my LC, was an IS-F

Exactly, not to mention addressing some comments regarding direction of the brand/company with change of leadership
LC MMC is a long time coming.

Maybe we finally get a LC 500 FSP?

I believe the electric sports car is not until MY 2026, some 2 years away. Next year should be RC?

I'd be surprised if Toyota is investing so much money on the 300 and 310 series vehicles, on the level of 2021 IS and 2016 LX. Stranger things have happened.

Glad to see my information on this refresh for 2024 is correct.

I believe that's a rush to judgment, but very very understandable if you didn't know about the 2024 LC. His replacement hasn't had any of his models be released yet. I would think that the first vehicles with his influence, will arrive this year or next year.

These things take years to implement and Koji Sato was president of Lexus from early 2020 to March 2023.

The first vehicle developed under him being CEO from scratch, are some 4-5 years into the future. Lexus is already developing a GX BEV for 2029, but are in the whiteboard phases.

Akio Toyota becomes Chairman of the Board, taking less of a day to day role.

This happened to Carlos Ghosn in early 2017, before he was terminated in January 2019. He became chairman and still had a say.

However, his reduced presence allowed for his replacement in Hirohito Saikawa as CEO of Nissan from 2017 to 2019 to implement a lot of goodwill and kept things streamlined, in order to improve Nissan quality even before Ghosn was arrested in November 2018.

Infiniti lost its RWD future for example, because Carlos Ghosn refused to approve a new multibillion-dollar modular RWD architecture for ICE vehicles. Now they will be Nissan+ and FWD based BEV, with only a few ICE crossovers, because the money cannot be justified.

The only new ICE vehicle from Infiniti is the LX 600 competitor in the 2025 QX80 and maybe QX65, as a fancy Murano.

Toyota is very serious about making Lexus BEV, even before Toyoda was pushed up to chairman, effective April 1st. The GX BEV was on the table for Generation 4, months before the staff shakeup.

I wonder if this LC MMC has anything to do with:
a.) Lexus Teases F version of LC
This teaser from Lexus Racing's own IG account, stating "the highest expression of performance".

b.) Many forum members were commenting a couple of years ago about an LC at a private dealer meeting in Vegas that had the rumored TT 4.0 V8 stuffed in the engine bay.

c.) LC F patent
Patent images that show an LC with a different front fascia, with mesh inserts similar to F products that allow for extra cooling

Only thing that throws a wrench in this whole thing is that Lexus abandoned that LCF trademark a while ago. Either way, we'll be finding out pretty soon.
MY24 MMC LC, a new gen MY25 RC, and possibly the MY26 LFR all being in production at the same time would be nuts, especially if you assume they'll all have competitive powertrains(i.e. newer).

A very good point. 360 cameras yes please, glueing a Mercedes iPad to the dashboard no thanks.
Gimme a idrive wheel type thing please. That’ll do it.
To be honest the LC is such a niche product I’d be amazed if they did anything major - they’ve had numerous new model year update opportunities to improve the tech but CarPlay is as far as it’s got. I’m not sure a dash redesign extensive enough to include a touchscreen would be worth the investment - if it was, they’d have done it by now?
A lightweight (ish) LC-F V8 maybe even with electric assistance could be an idea but again, I’m not sure they’d sell enough. Inspiration seems to be as far as they dare take it.

If the leaks are correct and the refresh is launching in April, I wonder when the official announcement will occur. Hopefully soon.

I agree. I just don’t think this is something that makes sense.

However…I could believe that maybe an LC-F-type of performance edition could be announced 6 months later….

I've been given communication that my order (placed August 2022, Nori Green coupe with Performance Package) will be one of the first model year 2024 cars, and is expected to go into mid-spring production.

I've also been hearing rumblings from my dealer that the infotainment is being updated, which also had me thinking mid cycle update.

Do you know if they do any significant updates other than the infotainment?

"rumblings from dealers" are about as reliable as bigfoot sightings.

It's odd, they do tend to rumble more when there's production/delivery delays... "it's worth the wait, yours will be the first with, errr, new model year cupholder mats".
