well i am taken away by the exterior design of the new infiniti q50 aka g37 sedan (they changed the name). interior looks stunning.

the IS, i am sorry to say, looks rather hideous from certain angles compared to this. It looks better than the old IS though. the instrument cluster is gorgeous in IS.

we are in the market for a new sedan.
which one would you take home?

I think the new IS is way better looking than the Q50. even the current gen IS looks better than the Q50. i don't find anything attractive about Q50 interior either. to me Q50 is no competition for the new IS. I love lexus's radical design and interior looks the best in class. I would definitely go for the new IS.

 

old IS looks worse than both? Someone needs their eyes checked.

i don't really think you're going to get an accurate preference depiction given that one of the options is a lexus and this is a lexus-dedicated forum.

 

yeah i dont know i would have to say im really not liking the direction that lexus went with on the exterior, but yet they did a remarkable job on the interior work tho. but i will have stick with lexus aha,

 

I think we should wait for the full information on the IS before making that decision, no? Just a few more hours...

 

Lexus over Infiniti anyday....but the lower part of the front end of the Lexus f sport looks like a catfish and I'm not feeling it. I might jump ship to an Audi A5 if the car doesn't appeal to me in person.

 

you will never get a true feel for other cars asking a lexus site. the verdict is not out yet on the is since there isn't a debut but the leaked pics are enough, it is a love and hate look the infiniti is the same although a little easier on the eyes but it is what it is, the q70 will be 550 horses though but that will be the M.. why not the gsF sport. that looks really good.

 

we would take lexus over infiniti any day as well, but the new q is bigger, looks cleaner, more power, looks like a little more safety features. not feeling the IS as when i first saw it. lets see the debut. we own both lexi and infinitis here, so no attachment to either for us

 

Having not seen each in person based on pictures it would have to go with the IS! The G well now Q50 doesn't excite me, neither does the interior looks like typical Infiniti don't get me wrong i'm sure it's high quality but its where its important to me and it's like Lexus seems to have gone the extra mile with the new IS.

 

The Q50 seems to have some very interesting new technology

 

The IS is an easy win. The Q50 is nice, but it's too feminine, and lacks the flared wheel arches and muscular body work of the 3IS.
