For 06-08, I don't think all of them are heated, but they are powered (As in they are power adjustable - reverse tilt is different)

2009+ has standard heated & powered I believe.

All 06-12 mirrors are heated. The only choice is whether or not it has the auto-dimming/memory (with auto-tilt) option.

For 06-08 Sewell has an option for either standard mirror glass or heated glass.

Only 09+ does it not have a difference.

It looks like it wasn't standard somewhere for 06-08

Their descriptions are poorly worded. The choice is between memory and non-memory, not heated and non-heated. They're all heated.

From the 2006 new car features book (I also checked the part numbers before I posted):

I think I see what Sewell is doing now, they are selling a set of convex mirrors, which did not come standard on North American models, but were used in some countries overseas. It seems in some countries they did not have heated mirrors, so you can order them for those countries (like Taiwan) without heated glass.

Canada and USA had heated mirrors on all 06-12 models.

The rear window defroster should have 2 icons on it. One of them looks like a side view mirror.

About the different mirrors for outside North America. They may not be DOT approved to be used in North America if there is an approval.

Yes that is correct.

Yeah the symbol is pretty easily overlooked. I noticed it since day one of looking at an IS I'm pretty detailed when inspecting.

Not the windshield. There is a front defog button and a rear glass/mirror glass defog button.
