Default Coolant over flowing and crusting. *pic*

I see this everytime I open my hood to check things out on my 350. I've seen this on my IS250 as well. Coolant levels are as recommended. Is this normal?

Im curious to know what cause this too.

This was happening to me until i bought in my car to have my water pump looked at. I had assume my water pump was going too but my SA told me my water pump was working fine; but I had them do a coolant leak check just to be sure. Ever since, I have had no coolant crusting.

Can you confirm this is the water pump going bad? because i have a pretty good relationship with my SA, i dont doubt him

Lexus of Tampa Bay said it is normal, and not to worry, had water pump replaced cause of a different issue. Bad bearing causing lots of noise.

Don't think it's the water pump. As the water pump is all the way toward the bottom. It leaks and wine that when you know it's bad. It cant spray up that high.
