Just decided I want to paint my headlights before winter time comes. I have a black IS350 and was thinking of painting it black, only some parts of it. So if anyone got painted headlights, please post a picture if you can. I can sure use some inspiration!

*** Update: Here's how they look for now. I painted them chrome black, left the bottom part chrome, and stuck a piece of silver CF over the amber reflector.

 

I love my painted headlights. Looks fantastic. I think you should do it.

Go for it. lots of ppl hate on the whole smoked tails/headlights. i think it looks good.

 

have you guys experienced any problems with moisture getting into the headlights after opening them up? i wouldnt done this mod yesterday, but im scared to damage the headlights. thats big money

jerzylexus: if not done right you will regret doing this mod but if you take ur time and fellow the diy then you will be fine. It took me about 9 hours to finish this mod.

Dang, those blue LEDs on the side look real good! How much would it be to paint it black (only some parts) and put in amber LEDs instead of those blue ones in the link?
