Default K&N air filter

I'm looking to buy the filter. Has anyone installed the K&N drop in filter? Does it has any affect to the car performance? Does it has any problem with air flow or any related to electronic flow control ?
Let me know.
Thanks all !

Only difference between K&N/Blitz/F-sport and stock is they don't need to be replaced. K&N is an oiled filter, Blitz and F-sport are dry. When cleaning the K&N, just don't over-oil it and let it dry out completely before re-installing.

Slightly off topic, but do you know how to clean the F sport filter?

I have the drop in one, Im going to toss it when I replace it with a toyota one... I cleaned my MAF and it seemed to collect quite a bit of dirt with the oil filter... Really no performance increase as the factory filters are oversized for the car as it is...

I SEE NO BENIFIT in fact ill sell you mine for $25 bucks... I have the reciept its 4 or 5 months old...

I have the K&N drop-in...so far, only great things to say about it! Give the motor a tad more grunt (noise only) in the low rpms. But the added plus I've found is a bit more fuel mileage. I've not changed my driving style and still get whatever premium fuel wherever I can...but I've seen a noticeable increase in mileage.

No issues at all regarding the MAF sensor.

Already got a cleaning kit too for future filter cleanings. The oil now comes in an aerosol can, so it'll spread more evenly.

This is good advice

I cleaned and oiled my K&N filter about six months ago - I think I over oiled it, but I didn't really notice any problems after.

Last week I used the CRC brand aerosol MAF cleaner, and noticed a pretty significant difference in idle smoothness and uptick in MPG.

K&N has definitely become one of the most recognizable names among air filters/intakes. Our customers that have purchased a K&N air intake or a K&N air filter are very happy with the performance.

For those looking into getting an intake or an air filter, definitely consider K&N. We offer a free air cleaner kit with the purchase of a K&N air intake.

that's because you replaced a dirty air filter with a clean one.

Changing a clean filter for any other clean filter will not and can not alter your fuel mileage on a modern MAF/O2 closed loop design gas engine vehicle.
