Default Draft coming through power window switches?

Just noticed this last night on the freeway with the sunroof on "vent." When I closed the roof, the air coming through the window switches pretty much died. Anyone else notice air coming through their window switches when on the freeway?

A lot of cars are like that. When I had my RSX it was the same thing when the sunroof is open.

What is the connection of airflow between the window switches and sunroof?

well it allows the air to travel through the cabin- from the outside to the controls through the cabin out the sunroof. its like pouring water in a cup- if you put a hole at the bottom, the water will move out or flow out. but if its shut then the water stays stationary. I dont know if thats a good analogy but hopefully that may clear up the explanation.

Sunroof open, your cabin is at a negative pressure. air is trying to get in.

If you pull your door panels off, you will often see a visqueen (spelling?) sheet adhered to the inside door panel. This is suppose to offer some resistance to that. At least that's my understanding...

Negative pressure, I like that. That is a better explanation.

Interesting. I think I get it. Just didn't notice this before on my car or on my previous cars. Funny how the air finds it's way through the window switches- out of all places.

Similar to an airplane wing, the air outside is moving at an accelerated rate compared to the within your vehicle. This creates low pressure outside the car in the fast moving air, creating a slight vacuum which draws the higher pressure air out.

Default Power windows console - air flowing out

Hey guys, probably more noticable in cold weather (and at nights). Does your car have air flowing out from the Power Window Operations console?

Just hover your hand over the buttons and see if you can feel it. I doubt it has anothing to do with the vents.

from what i noticed, when your moonroof is tilted up air will come out of the controls and on the handles.

I can't see the science in that. Why would the moonroof caused this? Besides how does it explain the air flowing out from the buttins
